What Connected Education Looks Like: 28 Examples From Teachers All Over – NYTimes.com

In honor of Connected Educator Month for October, I am sharing this article from the NY Times and The Learning Network. More and more, educators at all levels are embracing the digital world to build their Professional/Personal Learning Network. We don’t just “Google” lesson plan ideas anymore! We are members of education communities, and social networks interacting with other educators across the country, sometimes around the world! We are also creating our own networks, websites, wikis, blogs and more and more for our peers to connect to us or for our students. Take a few minutes and read the article below – it features several educators and how they connect, what they connect to, and how it has impacted their professional growth and their work with kids. Then, go and start connecting on some of these sites as well, and begin to build your PLN!
